30 years
Since beginning my working life in industry I’ve now spent over 30 years as a nurse.
From 2014, I have been the Consultant Nurse Practitioner at East Riding Aesthetics and Wellness which specialises regenerative and rejuvenating Medical Aesthetics.
I also offer wellness clinics focusing on body positive nutrition management and hormone balancing for our ‘ladies of a certain age’.
I see peri/menopause patients from all over the UK and have an exceptional reputation. In collaboration with industry professionals, I support holistic wellness clinics which offer coaching and therapy services alongside medical management to support our patient’s health goals.
I am a keen teacher and am thrilled to be a member of the Cosmetic Courses Faculty who offer exceptional medical aesthetics training and are the UK training provider for Allergan. I actively seek to improve services and support others and to this end have a number of publications and speak regularly at national and international conferences.
My NHS experience covers A&E (adults and paediatrics), Neonates, Regional lead for the Palliative Care Network, Service Improvement Manager, Specialist Trauma Nurse, Aesthetics Nurse Practitioner and most recently Major Trauma Coordinator/Advanced Nurse Practitioner. I bring a great sense of enthusiasm to any job as well as ensuring I am informed and reliable. I am experienced in both leadership and team membership and enjoy either setting.
I am always striving to achieve more and to this end am actively involved in service improvement and audit work to improve our practices and ultimately patient care. Originally qualifying as an RGN I’ve since gained both my Masters and BSc (hons) Degrees and also my Certificate in Education and Professional Certificate in Management.
I am also registered as a Nurse Independent and Supplementary Prescriber and Advanced Nurse Practitioner, which I hold alongside other specialist nursing and research qualifications including specialist aesthetics injectables (for which I hold a PGDip).
I’m a full member of both the Education and Training Foundation (previously the Institute of Learning), the Chartered Management Institute, The British Society of Lifestyle Medicine, British Association of Cosmetic Nurses, the British Menopause Society, the International Menopause Society and an Associate of the Newsome Health Menopause Society.
I am also an instructor for the Trauma Intermediate Life Support (TILS) training.
