Dr Raj Vaikunthanathan MSC (Diabetes) MBBS, MRCGP, DAvMed PGDip (Diabetes) PGCert MedEd Dr Raj Vaikunthanathan is an accomplished GP with over 23 years’ experience, he is currently a lead GP in Llanelli, South Wales, before training to be a GP for 6 years he specialized in paediatrics and neonatology.

He has served as a Wing Commander, Senior Medical Officer in the Royal Air Force, leading teams of military as well as civilian GPs and international healthcare professionals at home during peace time and on operations in conflict zones globally.

In the NHS he has worked as a GP partner, a salaried GP and as an associate specialist in a secondary care diabetic clinic. He is also an accredited GP trainer and has extensive training in aviation medicine.
